Held
at N 39° 58.714 W 075° 32.130
which turned out to be
Killen's Pond in Kent County. This event was a multipurpose function.
First it served as the Spring Event for the Delaware Geocaching group;
second it served as the capstone event for the Cache Around the
Colonial Hundreds Event (C.A.C.H.E.) The C.A.C.H.E was a two and a half
month challenge in which 24 caches were hidden in the 24 original
Hundreds that existed in Colonial Times. About 85 people attended this
event and had a wonderful day. The day's activities included a vote for
the favorite hide, a "Pin the tail on the GPS" game in which
contestents used their gps to find "THE" spot to place a flag. Closest
to the actual location won; awards ceremonies; and, of course, lots of
good food. There were also tables for a Travel Bug exchange and a slide
show featuring the photos taken at the 24 caches as well as those
submitted for the photo contest. Like all Delaware Geocaching Events
time was also provided to meet and greet other Delaware Geocachers. The
event was co-hosted by Mike Ott, head of Delaware Geocaching and
Programmer64 who headed the group that administered the event, hosted
the event. Our thanks to geocacher ngauger for the photos in this
album.
