N 39° 42.775 W 075° 46.656 In
the White Clay Creek State park - Hosted by Mike Ott As the cache
page stated, it was a beautiful place to get together and trade
geocoins, swag and geocaching stories. Some hints and tips were
spread around as well as food. As in the three previous events, this
was a bring food for everyone event! Something that all who
attended before, look forward to, mostly because you never know what's
on the menu, until you get there.
This
event was a bit late this year, since Mike was in Vermont and returned just
in time to plan the October get together. The geocachers that
have attended previous events, were waiting with anticipation and a bit
of nervousness for it to be listed. It turned out that our expectations were well
founded. Even though it rained the week before, it was a bright
(chilly) sunny day. But when the guests arrived, we found that
someone had been murdered....
We
were given sheets of paper with clues to a who-done-it? geocaching
murder mystery (complete with8 sets of coords). The clues were "hidden" throughout the section of
the state park (all were removed at the end of the day). We had to find
all 8 of them to see who to cross off the list of suspects, locations
and possible weapons. My favorite was near a tree with a
PDA.
All
those who finsihed and supplied the correct information were eligibale
for 9 door prizes. Very nice ones, including
geocoins!!
