The Event, Organization, and Personal Geocoin Gallery

Geocoins appear in a variety of sizes, colors, and shapes. Additionally geocoins have been distributed by state geocaching groups or to mark a geocaching group's event. Recently they have even been distributed by individuals as personal geocoins. Some end up being traded, some are purchased and held as collector's items, some become travel bugs. In short, there's a lot of variety when it comes to trying to answer the question, "What is a Geocoin". This gallery presents a cross section of types and styles to help give you an idea of the creative talent that has gone into the making of these coins.

Initially all the images in this Gallery are from the collection of Mike Ott and were photographed by Richard Sutor but this Gallery is designed to grow. If you have a geocoin or two and you'd like to share an image of it contact us, we'll get back to you and make arrangements for creating the image. You will get screen credit for your contribution.

Also, as you browse the gallery, if you see any incorrect captions please contact us and tell us what needs to be fixed.
