General Information

This race will work on a point system. Points will be awarded to Travel Bugs in the following categories:

1. Miles Traveled (1 point per 10 miles)

~ Less than 10 miles will be calculated as “tenths” e.g. 53 miles = 5.3 points

2. Each Cache (15 points per cache)

3. Each State (50 points per state)

4. Each Country (100 points per country)

Points will be accumulated for both miles traveled and additional categories. Points are scored for every state and country your Travel Bug stops in. ***Note: Your Travel Bug must be placed inside a cache and logged in order to score points. Simply crossing state or national borders doesn’t count. The winner will be the TravelBug/Geocoin with the most points. This will be determined by totaling the points achieved by a TravelBug/geocoin in all 4 categories.

Bonus points are awarded for every cache in which the Travel Bug stops and is logged in.

The idea behind this race is to enjoy watching where all the travel bugs go and the stops they make along the way.
